While rail is an important component of public transport, especially for longer journeys, it isn't the major focus for Transport Action Network as there already are quite a number of active local rail groups with which Railfuture (the national rail campaigning organisation) works. So in the first instance we would suggest looking for your local rail group or contacting Railfuture for help and advice.

We are however, looking to see what we might be able to do on rail freight as this is an area that gets less attention.
